1.1.7 What is a single process module

In one stroke of the press, the die that only completes one stamping process is called single process die. Single process die can be divided into pure blanking single process die, blanking and bending single process die, blanking and drawing single process die and blanking and forming single process die.

1.1.8 What is compound die

The die with only one station and two or more stamping processes completed at the same station in one stroke of the press is called compound die (blanking, drawing and hole turning compound die as shown in Fig. 1-8). Compound die can be divided into positive compound die and reverse compound die, as well as blanking compound die, blanking bending compound die, blanking drawing compound die and blanking forming compound die.
