Deep drawing is the use of stamping, pulling rings or metal mold technology to shape sheet metal materials into cylindrical or box shaped parts.Deep drawn enclosures are usually carried out on the anti wrinkle pressure plate of the double acting press, and the wrinkle preventing plate can effectively prevent the edge of the bulge from wrinkling when it is pulled into the steel dies.

Deep drawing technology is widely used in the production process, and deep drawn process is applied to many industries. Deep Drawing Process

At present, our factory has two main types of deep drawing processes, hydraulic deep drawing and Metal spinning.

Hydraulic deep drawn is to install a drawing die on a hydraulic press machine, and then move up and down to achieve the shape change of the metal sheet.

Metal spinning is a process of changing the shape of a product by rotating the metal sheet and applying pressure from a mold tool on a rotating machine.

Hydraulic deep drawing

According to the quantity and size requirements of the guest’s product items, we recommend suitable processing methods.
Hydraulic deep drawn stamping is mainly applicable to following

2. Precise size
3. Material and shape are not limited
4. The mold cost is high, but the processing cost is low

Metal spinning

This is another production way of deep drawing.

Metal spinning, also known as spin forming or spinning, is a metalworking process where a rotating metal disc is formed into a desired shape by applying pressure using specialized tools or rollers. This process is commonly used to create symmetrical hollow metal components such as bowls, vases, or lampshades. Metal spinning allows for the production of smooth and seamless parts with minimal material waste, making it a cost-effective method for manufacturing prototypes or low-volume production runs. It is widely used in industries like aerospace, automotive, and lighting for producing custom and complex metal parts.

This process have following feature

1. Small quantity
2. The size requirements are not very high
3. Some shapes are difficult to be made by spinning, which should be discussed with our engineers based on the design drawings
4. The mold cost is low, but the processing cost is high
